Southern California Public Power Authority (SCPPA):

Is a Joint Powers Authority (formed in 1980 under the Joint Exercise of Powers Act of the California Legislature)
Has twelve public power agency members (eleven cities and one irrigation district)
Finances the construction or acquisition of generation projects, transmission projects, natural gas reserves projects,
and renewable energy projects.
Issues tax-exempt and taxable revenue bonds
Conducts official business at monthly Board of Directors meetings
Coordinates Committees and Working Groups
