SCPPA signed a Power Purchase Agreement to receive energy generation from Copper Mountain Solar 3 plant the desert plains near Boulder City, Nevada. The solar panels at the plant cover 1,375 acres of land, making it one of the largest solar field in the United States. The panels are on a fixed tilt to gain energy from the desert sun. This energy is transferred to the Marketplace Switchyard, where the Mead-Adelanto transmission line runs to California. To learn more about the plant, visit Sempra's website
