The City’s electric utility was established in 1898 after the City purchased a private power company. The foresight and planning of those early pioneers continues to be the cornerstone of Azusa Light & Water today. It is the mission of Azusa Light & Water to provide reliable and cost effective electric and water utilities to the citizens and businesses within its service area. Azusa Light & Water continues to be proactive in promoting energy and water conservation programs to its customers, and to its future customers by continual funding of a resource conservation education programs with the local school district.
