test SCPPA's Solar Projects ABOUT SOLAR GENERATIONSolar energy is a form of renewable energy produced from the sun's rays. Solar energy is produced when a solar panel built of photovoltaic cells absorbs enough particles of solar energy to dislodge electrons from the material's atoms creating an imbalance in electrons between the cell's front and back surface. The imbalance creates a voltage potential with negative and positive terminals that can be connected into an electrical circuit. The amount of energy that can be produced by solar varies based on the amount and intensity of sunlight, time of day, weather and location. Because it does not produce air or water pollutants, solar energy has a minimal effect on the environment.FISCAL YEAR 2019-20202,015,353 MWhs of Solar Energy generated.
Desert Harvest Participants: Anaheim (51.43%), Burbank (31.43%), Vernon (17.14%)About Desert Harvest IIThe Desert Harvest II Solar Project is a 70 MW solar project located in Riverside County, California. It achieved commercial operations on December 17, 2020.Fiscal Year 2021-2022This fiscal year Desert Harvest II delivered 193,171 MWhs, realizing a 32% net capacity factor.

Northern Nevada Geothermal Portfolio Project Participants: LADWP (100%)About Northern Nevada Geothermal Portfolio Project (NNGP)The Northern Nevada Geothermal Portfolio Project is a combination of new and existing geothermal facilities located in Northern Nevada. The facilities are scheduled to begin delivering energy during three distinct development periods, with the first development period ending on December 31, 2018. The project currently consists of Tungsten Mountain, which began generating energy on December 1, 2017, Steamboat Hills came online on March 16, 2018, McGinness Hills 3 began commercial operations on December 15, 2018, Galena 2, which began delivering energy on March 1, 2019, Brady, which began delivering energy in August 2022, and Steamboat Hills 2-3, which began delivering on December 19, 2022 . Together these facilities will generate a long-term geothermal supply of renewable electrical energy to LADWP. Capacity increases within each development period before capping with a maximum capacity of 185 MWs at the end of 2022. The term of the power purchase agreement began on December 31, 2017 and is expected to end on December 31, 2043. The energy price under the power purchase agreement is fixed at $75.50/MWh for the terms of the contract. Fiscal Year 2021-2022This fiscal year NNGP delivered 1,111,626 MWhs, realizing a 83% net capacity factor.
